What is a

Video Wall

Enjoy the Scale

A video wall is any large electronic display of an image or images being displayed in a presentation format. Typically multiple display devices are tiled together as close as possible in a matrix to create a single logical screen (The Video Wall). Then with special Video Processor devices, an image is scaled across the logical screen or multiple images are spread out over the logical screen or a combination of both in the case of picture in picture. This is all without respect for the individual display devices physical boundaries.

How you can benefit from a Video Wall?

Front projectors are the primary alternative to a video wall, but they have a problem in bright areas, like venues that rely on natural light. LCD and LED displays are brilliantly backlit, so they offer much greater brightness and contrast values than projectors. This is clear when sunlight intrudes on a projected image – it appears washed out and muted. Not an issue with video walls, and that’s an important advantage, given that natural light is generally considered a feature in modern environmental designs

A video wall can be formed using LCD or LED computer screens, traditional television sets and video projectors. The screens are commonly connected together using a daisy chain method so that a command such as turning the video on or off works on all of the screens at once. Video walls can be operated using a video controller or without it.
